Tea is an emotion for most of Indians, starting a day with a cup of chai is the best thing to do. After water, the most consuming liquid in the world is tea. May 21 is celebrated as International Tea Day 2020 to encourage the status of tea workers, worker's rights, daily wages, social security, employment secuirty, and health.
A cup of chai makes everything better. I believe 40% of vendors in India sells tea only. The tea from Mumbai is my favourite. Let us look at some interesting facts about tea.

1. Discovery of Tea : According to legend, Tea is discovered by Emperor Nung in China in 2732 BC. It is said that he discovered tea when leaves from a wild tree blew into his pot of boiling water. He was interested in the aroma of that leaves amd drink some, which marks the birth of tea.
2.Who drinks more tea : China is the largest consumer of tea at 1.6 billion pounds a year. But per person, Turkey, Ireland and UK are the land of worlds biggest tea lovers.
3. Milk tea : There are lot of stories about the invention of milk tea. I believe that answer "In the 17th and 18th centuries tea was served in chineese cups which was so delicate and crack from the heat of tea. Milk was added to cool the liquid and stops the cups from cracking. This is why many english peoples add milk to their cups before adding tea.
4. All is One : The black tea, white tea, green tea and all other tea are derived from a single plant called Camellia Sinensis.
5. Lipton Tea : The lipton tea factory in Jebel Ali, Dubai produces around 5 billion tea bags every year.
6. Total Consumption : An average of 3 billion cups of tea are consumed every day, which means every human in this world consumes atleast a cup of tea everyday.
7.Darjeeling Tea : Genuine Darjeeling tea is grown at the foot of the Himalyas that is less than 70 square miles range, which makes darjeeling tea costly.
8. Tea is good for health : Tea contains antioxidants that repair cells and in doing so, may help our bodies to fight many diseases like cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, etc. And contrary to the belief green tea is only good, black, rea and white have also health giving polyphenols and other compounds.
9. Highest Producers : China is the world's highest producer of tea(2, 47, 443 tonnes) followed by India (1, 325, 050 tonnes) and Kenya(439, 857 tonnes).
10.Expensive Tea : Da-Hong Pao tea, made from a rare tree in China with curing effects that can save lifes is the most expensive tea in the world cost $1.2 million per kg.
