Rava Kesari Recipe | Kesari bath recipe

Rava kesari is a famous sweet in south indian cuisine. Rava means Semolina and Kesari means Saffron, which is used to brighten up the dish. This is a very tasty dessert which can be made by less ingredients and within 15 minutes. 

Ingredients : 

1. Rava or Semolina - 1 cup
2. Sugar - 1 cup
3. Water - 2 1/2 cup
4. Cardamon Powder - 1/4 tsp
5. Saffron - 2 pinches
6. Ghee - 5-6 table spoom
7. Cashews - 10 nos
8. Resins - 10-15 nos

Preperation :

1. Heat 2tsp ghee in a pan and fry the cashews and resins till it become light golden in colour. Keep it aside. 
2. In the same ghee fry the rave in medium flame until it become crunchy. 
3.Do not over fry the rava as it changes the aroma of the kesari. 
4. Take some water in amother pan and boil it. 
5. Pour the rava in to the boiled hot water and stirr it continously to prevent lumps. 
6. The rava will absorb all th water gradually. Keep stirring. 
7. When the water is fully absorbed, close the pan and cook it for 2-3 mins. 
8. Add the sugar and mix well. The entire mix will become fluffy. 
9. Keep stirring and make the mix thick. 
10.Add some cardamon powder, saffron and 3 tbsp ghee. 
11. Mix well  Cook it for 2-3 mins. 
12. Grease a round bowl and fill the bowl with kesai.Flat the top. 
13.Invert the bowl to a plate and gently shake off.Garnish with cashews and resins.
14. Serve to your loved ones and enjoy the dish.
